Im not sure if this is 100% correct but, Our cars use a fly-by-wire system. This means that when you push down the accelerator pedal it sends an electrical signal to the ecu and then to the throttle to open instead of the pedal pulling a cable and opening the throttle. There is a lag between the accelerator pedal sending a signal to the ecu and then the signal to the throttle. The go pedal helps pick up the lag by sending an increased signal to the ecu and throttle. For example if you push down the pedal 10% the throttle will open only 10%. With the go pedal if you push down the accelerator pedal 10% the throttle would open 20% to try to make up for the initial lag. (the numbers are just for examples only. Im not sure of how much the numbers vary.) Again im not completely sure if this explanation is correct so please don't quote me on this. This is how someone explained it to me and I also do not own one. Maybe someone can explain it better or tell me if im completely wrong. My recommendation is to call madness and they could probably give you the best explanation.

I ddnt read your question correctly. I thought you were askng how it works. What it does is give your car better responsiveness and takes away the lag in the fly-by-wire system

Think of it as tightening up the slack in the accelerator pedal as if the accelerator pedal was hooked up to the carb with a loose cable. There is actually no cable because it is all done electronically now days, but the tightening effect is the same.

A very worthwhile upgrade. Seems pricey at first but well worth it. Car takes on a whole new personality and very fun to drive.

Yes it works with non-turbo versions. Different part number I think though. I've got a 2012 pop
